21 giant octopus kites fly at Lincoln City, Oregon, 6/28/08. Kites are over 80 feet long, cost about $5000US and are made in New Zealand. Previosu record was 20 flown at American Kitefliers Association convention in Washington State, 2007. Before that, 19 were flown in France and 12 at Cha-am, Thailand.
